Pregnancy Symptoms

Early Signs of Pregnancy:

Typically this incredible journey is for 40 weeks, or 9 months. To keep in mind that every pregnancy is different; however, one of the most considerable pregnancy symptoms is a delayed or missed menstrual cycle.

Extreme Fatigue can be another indicator of pregnancy, especially when other symptoms are present. A nap during day time can help to maintain normal daily activities.

Tender swollen breasts are another early symptom. While tender breasts are a symptom of an impending cycle, enlarged breasts are not. Sore and swollen breasts with a tingling sensation can be an early indicator of pregnancy.

Nausea and Morning Sickness can be a sign that a woman is pregnant. Eating snack on crackers or toast, or drink juice or lemonade before getting out of the bed in the morning can help and eating several smaller meals instead of larger ones can help with nausea. Some women vomit. ("Morning sickness" can happen any time of day)

Frequent Urination : An increased urge to urinate can be an indicator and usually occurs between 6 to 8 weeks out.

Headaches in early pregnancy are a common symptom and begin at about the 6th week. A quick nap can help prevent headaches in a mother-to-be. Preeclampsia or toxemia can begin with headache and can be dangerous to a pregnant woman. If you are pregnant and have this symptoms, be sure to call your doctor or care-giver immediately.

Other symptoms can be constipation, heartburn and may experience mood swings -- feel angry, sad, or happy for no reason.

Some women experience signs or symptoms of pregnancy within a week of conception. For other women, pregnancy symptoms may develop over a few weeks or may not be present at all. Here are some of the most common pregnancy signs symptoms. If you have been sexually active and experiencing any of these pregnancy symptoms it is important to take a pregnancy test. So that mother-to-be can receive prenatal care in early stage of pregnancy.

Your doctor will tell you to take prenatal vitamins having folic acid to prevent birth defects in your baby as soon as your pregnancy is confirmed. If you smoke or drink, you should stop immediately -- tobacco and alcohol can harm your unborn child. Certain medications can also harm your child.
